THE STORY CONTINUES...

That grumpy bugger - Doc Martin - is back for a fifth series in 2011. The story picks up after the birth of Martin and Louisa's son. Will Martin return to his post as Portwenn's GP? Will fatherhood help the Doc to mellow? Will he and Louisa play happy families? Of course not! The road to happiness will no doubt be fraught with an array of delightfully entertaining challenges.

The Doc Martin Series 5 Blog follows the progress of Series 5 from filming to post-episode dissection, and everything in between. It will endeavour to keep you up-to-date with all that's happening in and around Portwenn.

Your contributions to the site are welcomed, encouraged and essential. If you have information, tips, photos, a story to tell or a question to ask, don't hesitate to shoot me off an email, or post a comment. The Doc is in!

  2. Oh, dear. PBS and ITV (or is it BBC?) must want to ensure that the American viewers don't get to see what happens before we've had a chance to donate to our local public TV stations. That's too bad. Glad I saw them while they were still up!

  3. Alas...I was looking forward to watching Series 5 again...and again. I guess they want people to purchase the DVD instead. But I can't do that here in L.A.
I have discovered William and Mary, which is nice. Wow...what a different character Martin Clunes plays...much more affectionate than the Doc...and there are so many intimate scenes. On DM, if the Doc and Louisa kiss it's a huge deal!

  7. ALL Doc Martin episodes are copyrighted. The copyright owner, whoever that is (ITV, Buffalo Productions, whoever) and YouTube have the legal right to remove copyrighted material that was not posted with the permission of the owner.

Goes to show...when something like this (current TV shows) are posted originally, DOWNLOAD TO YOUR OWN COMPUTER IMMEDIATELY using any of several good programs for doing this. Once it's on your hard drive, you can play it any time you want, and won't be affected by the episodes being removed from YouTube.

  8. Am I correct in saying that I understand that the 5th season is now no more? I watched the first episode and was looking forward to more down the road. Is this just in Canada television or everywhere? Vancouver

  10. If you get the "unlock" code for your DVD player you can watch DVDs from other regions. Series 5 comes out March 5, 2012 in the UK. Even though I watched all of Series 5 on YT I will buy the DVD in order to financially support all the work and talent behind this phenomenal show! Please consider doing the same!

  11. I purchased series 1-4 and am waiting for series 5 DVD to be issued in North America. I agree that we should financially support the talent and original ideas behind the production of the show.
