THE STORY CONTINUES...

That grumpy bugger - Doc Martin - is back for a fifth series in 2011. The story picks up after the birth of Martin and Louisa's son. Will Martin return to his post as Portwenn's GP? Will fatherhood help the Doc to mellow? Will he and Louisa play happy families? Of course not! The road to happiness will no doubt be fraught with an array of delightfully entertaining challenges.

The Doc Martin Series 5 Blog follows the progress of Series 5 from filming to post-episode dissection, and everything in between. It will endeavour to keep you up-to-date with all that's happening in and around Portwenn.

    I am so scared!!!!!!!We all know better than to think you would harm a puppy or any animal. But you are right if we want to continue to see Doc Martin in the USA we need to support PBS and make sure they know we WANT Doc Martin. Also Martin, we want season 6 or we will shoot your puppy.....just kidding!

    Depending on how much you gave, you could get the DVD of one season, DVD of all the seasons and a mug that says " take two aspirins and insult me in the morning",or just the mug.Pretty nice...and the money goes to purchase british tv shows. So all you Americans need to support PBS so we can see season 5 and hopefully season 6 of Doc Martin !

    A second piece also made by KCET is called "Behind the Scenes." It finally gives a much deserved shout out to Caroline Catz who brilliantly plays Louisa Glasson. All this talk about Martin Clunes, while well deserved, does not do justice to his marvelous cast including Ms. Catz who is the foil to his grumpy Doc! Diane Afes Smith
