The nation’s favourite grumpy
medic, Doc Martin, with his tactless and brusque bedside manner and a
phobia of blood, is returning to ITV1 next year.
Martin Clunes will reprise his role as Dr. Martin
Ellingham in eight new episodes of the enormously successful drama
produced by Buffalo Pictures and set in the idyllic, sleepy hamlet of
Port Wenn in Cornwall.
Filming will begin next spring on location in
picturesque Port Isaac with all regular members of the cast returning to
the popular series.

ReplyDeleteI guess that the wife and me will be in "Doc" withdrawals for a bit. Anyone have a time-line for the U.S. broadcast of '6'?
ReplyDeleteLots of love for rhe cast and crew. This show is by far the best acted, produced, and written series that we are aware of on tele. Kudos all around from Ken and MJ, Three Points AZ, usa

I am so hooked on this series-can't wait for Season 6! All the actors are so believable in their quirky parts, do miss Auntie Joan though.

I miss Joan as well.
DeleteIt would be great for her to finally see her quirky Nephew with Louisa and their son. But that would mean a resurrection...
the other aunt can share in their family with her own quirkiness.
Hope we don;t have to wait too long for the continuation on etv and or GPTV.
Miss auntie joan also. What happened to the dog that iritated Doc in the earlier episodes? Hubby and I watched all episodes during this winter. Going thru withdrawal now. Cant wait for the next season:-)
ReplyDeletePlease rush Season 6...can't wait much longer...greatest series in a long time...it is ingenius...did love Auntie Joan...she will be missed
ReplyDeleteAuntie Joan . . . loved her character!
ReplyDeleteshe was a real mom figure to poor Martin . . . I so love this series, and the LOCATION!!!!
makes me want to visit Cornwall coast areas in the UK and stay for while . . . any good places recommended?
Thanks for letting me post this comment. :)
Love all the characters. I saw one post that said they didn't like Louisa's ponytail. Please keep the long flowing hair. I just wish there was a scene that showed Doc being a little more loving with Louisa and sort of a jealous streak that keeps him thinking and wanting her more. He needs to be more attentive with her when she is around. Mrs. Tisshel is great!!!! As is Mr. Large! The setting is wonderful. My husband and I will visit Port Isaac someday. The whole setting with all the players make it just the perfect place for the Doc Martin series. Love it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove Love Love this show..it is 2014 WHEN will Doc Martin be back on TV???
